Sink and faucet repair cost

Drain stoppers, slow drains, leaks under the sink, loose or leaking faucets, and drain pipe fixes.

Sink findings are usually small fixes: a stopper that's missing or doesn't work, a slow drain, a loose faucet, or a drip under the cabinet. They show up often, and they're among the least expensive items on a report.

A leak under the sink is the one not to wait on. Even a slow drip can damage the cabinet and the floor.

What affects the price

Repair or new faucet
Worn parts inside a faucet can often be replaced. An old or corroded faucet is usually replaced instead, and the faucet you pick sets much of the price.
What's in the cabinet
A tight cabinet, a garbage disposal or a water filter under the sink takes longer to work around.
Where the clog is
A clog near the sink clears quickly. A clog deeper in the drain line takes more work.
Water damage
A leak that's gone on a while can damage the cabinet floor, which may need its own repair.

Common questions

What is an S-trap?

The curved pipe under a sink holds a little water that blocks sewer gas from coming up the drain. An S-trap curves down and back like an S, and it can siphon that water out as the sink drains. A P-trap, which turns into the wall, is the usual fix.

Why replace a flexible drain pipe?

Flexible, accordion-style drain pipe has ridges that catch debris, so it clogs more easily and drains slowly. A smooth, rigid pipe is the usual fix.
