Refrigerator findings in HomeCloud evaluations are mostly about the water filter: it's missing, or it's past due to be changed. A refrigerator that isn't cold came up less often.

For laundry, the common fix is a drain pan under the washing machine, which catches leaks and overflows before they reach the floor. Washer hookup boxes and drain lines are plumbing: see pipe and drain repairs.

What HomeCloud reports priced this fix at in homes we evaluated Sep 2025 to Oct 2026. The range is the middle half of homes; the middle price is the median. Your price comes from a written estimate for your home. The drain pan row also counts pans under water heaters.

What affects the price

Filter type
Water filters are made for a specific refrigerator make and model.
Repair or replace
A refrigerator that won't cool may need a part, or it may make more sense to replace it. The age of the unit and the price of the part decide it.
Draining the pan
A washer pan works best when it's tied into a drain. Adding a drain line is more work than setting a pan in place.
