HomeCloud's price to install a dishwasher

$200 to $250, plus the dishwasher

Labor to install. The new dishwasher is extra and depends on the one you choose.

Dishwasher findings don't come up often in the homes HomeCloud evaluates, but they matter when they do. A leaking dishwasher can damage the cabinets and floor, and a drain line that's set up wrong can let dirty sink water flow back into the dishwasher.

A dishwasher that doesn't run at all is often replaced rather than repaired.

Typical price to install a dishwasher on a HomeCloud job. The new dishwasher itself is extra and depends on the one you choose. Your price comes from a written estimate for your home.

What affects the price

The dishwasher you choose
On a replacement, the new dishwasher's price is a big part of the total.
Water damage
If a leak has gone on a while, the cabinet base or subfloor may need repair too.
Drain setup
Adding an air gap or a high loop to the drain line is a small job at the same visit.
Fit
A new dishwasher that's a different size than the old one may need the opening adjusted.

What's an air gap or a high loop?

Both keep dirty sink water from flowing back into the dishwasher. An air gap is a small fitting on top of the sink or counter. A high loop routes the drain hose up high under the counter before it connects to the drain. Some dishwashers have one built in, so they don't need either under the sink.
