Smoke and CO detector relocation
Moving smoke and carbon monoxide detectors that are mounted in the wrong spot.
A detector in the wrong spot may not sound in time, or may go off when it shouldn't. Common problems are detectors too close to the corner where the ceiling meets the wall, too close to a stove or a bathroom door where cooking smoke and steam set them off, or too far from the bedrooms. See spots to avoid.
Moving a detector means taking down its base and mounting it in a better spot. Hardwired detectors also need their wiring moved.
