Home Certifications in Durham

Are you interested in getting a home certified in the Durham, NC area? Of course you are. U.S. News and World Reports ranked it the 2nd best place to live in the country in 2021. Our co-founder, George, moved here after spending 14 years in New York City and San Francisco. Durham is best known for Duke University and the Durham Bulls Baseball team. There is a high standard of living due to lower real estate taxes and healthcare costs. Speaking of healthcare, it's one of the things that Durham is best known for. This is ironic as Durham initially grew as a city due to its thriving tobacco industry. When that industry declined, Durham reinvented itself by focusing on the education and health sectors. In recent years, downtown Durham has been completely revitalized and residential real estate prices have increased. The tallest building in Durham, One City Center, is 27 floors and was just completed in 2018. One of the newest additions to the area is the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC), a $48 million theatre that was added in 2008 and hosts over 200 shows a year. The theatre has hosted concerts and Broadway plays such as Hamilton and Les Miserables. One thing to get excited about is that Top Golf just kicked off the development of a new venue projected to open between Durham and Raleigh in the Summer of 2022.

HomeCloud was so easy to work with from a scheduling standpoint.  Our house was practically new, but HomeCloud was still able to identify an active leak in the crawlspace.  We got the sellers to fix it, which was important since our close date was still a month away. We also took advantage of HomeCloud's Radon Test add-on.  It's nice that we can add the results to our HomeCloud and pass all this information on to future homeowners.

HomeCloud is an essential part of the home buying process. I was buying a home in North Carolina from New York, and HomeCloud went with my realtor to the home and certified the condition of the home. This gave me the confidence to buy a home remotely (way over ask with a high due diligence fee). HomeCloud digitized all of the home information for me and gave me access to it via an app. It came with a repair list and reminders on when to change my appliance/air filters. It's a full home management app and they are adding new functionality to it daily. 5 Stars!!
