The Must-Do List (AKA The Non-Negotiables)

1. Clear the Path

We'll need access to electrical panels, water heaters, HVAC systems, attics, and crawl spaces. You don't need to Marie Kondo these areas, just make sure we can safely reach these areas without moving mountains of stuff.

2. Turn Everything On

Make sure all utilities are running – electricity, gas, and water. If there’s a pilot light off or a breaker flipped, turn it back on so we can evaluate systems in action. We can't evaluate what we can't see operating.

3. Find Your Remotes

Garage door openers, ceiling fans, fireplaces – if it has a remote, leave it out where we can find it.

4. Secure the Fur-babies!! (Your Pets)

We love furry family members, but they don’t always love us. Please plan for pets to be in another room, at daycare, or out of the house with a friend during your appointment.

These aren’t required – but they’ll help your evaluation go smoothly.

• Test the Basics Flip all the light switches, run the faucets, flush toilets, and open windows. If something isn't working, we're going to find it anyway – but knowing upfront helps us focus on priorities.
• Gather Your Paperwork Pull together any receipts for recent repairs, HVAC service records, warranty info, or appliance manuals. Uploading these later to your MyHomeCloud portal gives you a more complete digital record.
• Clear the Exterior Trim bushes near windows or vents, move patio furniture away from the foundation, and clear any obvious debris. The clearer the view, the better the data.
